3. Introduction and Motivation (Lesson 1)
The Big Idea
Goal: Introduce storytelling and the AI helper.
- Circle Time: "Who likes stories? What makes a good story?"
- Concept: Explain that every story has a Beginning (Start), Middle (Something happens), and End (How it finishes).
- Meet Brainy: Introduce the AI tool as "Brainy," a clever robot friend who loves stories but needs help with imagination.
4. Research and Learning (Lesson 2)
Our Adventure Begins
Goal: Create a story collaboratively.
- Step 1: Pick Cards. Small groups pick a Character (e.g., Pirate, Unicorn) and a Setting (e.g., Jungle, Space).
- Step 2: Ask Brainy. Teacher types the choices into the AI: "Brainy, tell us a story starter about a Pirate in Space!"
- Step 3: The Twist. Brainy gives a fun prompt. The children decide what happens next.
- Step 4: Draw It. Each child draws one part of the story.
5. Creative Application (Lesson 3)
Sharing Time
Goal: Present the story and listen to others.
- Presentation: Groups stand up and tell their story using their drawings.
- Role Play: Encouraged to use funny voices or act out actions.
- Feedback: Classmates say one thing they liked (e.g., "I liked the funny dragon!").
6. Reflection and Evaluation
Self-Reflection & Feedback
My Story Checklist:
- Did we have a beginning, middle, and end?
- Did we use Brainy's idea?
- Did we work together?
Peer Feedback: Use the "Giving Feedback to a Friend" form (smiley faces/simple ticks).
