Target Group: 4 - 7 y.o.
Activity Duration: 4 Weeks (2 sessions/week, 30–40 min each)
Key Learning Goals:
- Artistic Expression: Express emotions and ideas through colors, shapes, and simple drawings.
- Digital Skills: Use digital drawing tools and AI image generators with teacher guidance.
- Musical Imagination: Explore how music changes the feeling of an image.
- Collaboration: Work in small groups to share ideas and create a classroom exhibition.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the project, children will be able to:
KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING:
- Recognize styles and colors used by famous artists (e.g., Van Gogh, Miró).
- Understand that computers (AI) can help create pictures.
- Understand how music can change the feeling of a picture.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Use drawing apps (like Paint or Canva) to create pictures.
- Explore AI tools (with help) to make images and compare them with their own work.
- Talk about their art and explain their choices.
ATTITUDES & VALUES:
- Curiosity about art and technology.
- Respect for different ways of seeing the world.
- Confidence in sharing their own creations.
European Dimension / Erasmus+ Connection
- Cultural Curiosity: Introducing children to European artistic heritage (e.g., Van Gogh, Kandinsky).
- Creativity Without Borders: Showing that creativity can be shared across countries through digital exhibitions.
- Digital Literacy: Early introduction to safe, creative technology use.
1. Resources and Tools
Digital Tools:
- Drawing: Paint or Canva (basic use).
- AI Imaging: Artguru or Leonardo AI (teacher-led).
- Music: Google Chrome Music Lab, Suno, or Riffusion.
Traditional Materials:
- Drawing paper, pencils, markers, crayons.
- Printed images of famous artworks.
- Emotion charts (smiley faces).
Classroom Support Materials:
- Use Padlet or a class blog for the final exhibition and prepare a simple checklist or rubric for reflection and teacher feedback.
2. Working Methods
- Learning by Doing: Actively creating drawings and music.
- Guided Discovery: Teacher introduces big ideas ("Can a robot paint?") through stories.
- Small Group Collaboration: Working in pairs to support each other.
- Celebration: A final exhibition to value every child's work.

3. Introduction and Motivation (Week 1)
Welcome Little Artists!
"Today we start a special adventure full of colors and magic! Have you ever painted a picture that made you smile? That is art."
The Challenge: We will explore art like real artists, use computers to draw with us, and even match music with our pictures!
Session 1: What is Art?
- Art Slideshow: Show colorful works by Van Gogh or Kandinsky. Ask: "What colors do you see?"
- Emotion Game: "How does this picture make you feel?"
- AI Intro: Show a short video about AI. "Do you think a robot likes to draw?"
4. Research and Learning (Week 2)
Session 3: Drawing with a Computer
Children create their own version of a painting using simple digital tools (Paint/Canva). Encouraging freedom, not copying.
Session 4: Drawing with the Help of a Machine
- Describe & Generate: Children describe their drawing to the teacher, who types it into an AI tool (e.g., Artguru).
- Compare: Show the child's drawing next to the AI's drawing. "What is the same? What is different?"
- Venn Diagram: Use a simple diagram with colored dots to compare.
5. Creative Application (Week 3)
Session 6: What Music Goes with My Picture?
Goal: Connect sound to visual art.
- Listening Game: Play happy, sleepy, or mysterious music. Ask: "What color do you see when you hear this?"
- Match & Move: Children choose a piece of music that fits their artwork best.
- AI Music (Optional): Teacher shows how AI tools like Suno can generate simple tunes based on a mood (e.g., "Happy yellow sun").
6. Reflection and Evaluation (Week 4)
Exhibition and Celebration
The Gallery Walk: Display the final artworks (digital slides or printed) on a screen or wall. Add the music if possible.
Applause & Feedback: Celebrate each child's work with kind words and stickers.
Reflection Circle:
- "What did you like best?"
- "Was using the computer hard or easy?"
- "Who was more creative: you or the AI?"
